The expo is to be held at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg.
Expo times are : Saturday 14th March: 09h30 - 16h30
Sunday 15th March: 10h00 - 15h00
Tickets are R150.00 per person. Children under 18 years free.

The expo is essentially to promote employment opportunities in Australia, and there tend to be a variety of exhibitors at the expo's, including potential employers from the Mining sector, the banking sector, various health recruiters, and also service providers such as removal companies, property companies, and of course, migration agents.

The Jobsearch team at NMS have received some calls from concerned clients, and others, regarding the following `rumours' they have heard:
“Australia has closed it's doors to Foreigners completely”
“ NZ recruiters have been told they will be closed down if they employ foreigners”
“Australia and NZ have stopped all work permits or persons over the age of 30 years”
“Irrespective of whether one has permanent residency in Australia or NZ, migrants are
being told to get out of the country”
May I take this opportunity to assure that none of these statements above is correct. There is not an iota of truth in any of them.
Yes, certain sectors in the job markets have been affected by the downward turn in the economies of both Australia and New Zealand, and it may be taking a little longer to secure employment as a foreigner, there is still employment available in both countries.
